FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. – Clinical expert, Jerome Sherman, OD will be the featured guest on the June 19 edition of “The Power Hour.” The weekly online radio talk show is hosted by Gary Gerber, OD, founder of The Power Practice, a practice management company.

Following his graduation from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in June 1970, Sherman was appointed to the staff of the Optometric Center of New York and the newly established SUNY State College of Optometry as a clinical instructor. Over the years he has held many positions including chief of the Ocular Disease and Special Testing Clinic and then the director of professional services. Sherman is presently a distinguished teaching professor in the Clinical Optometric Science department. He is a founding member of both the International Foundation for Optic Nerve Disease (IFOND) and the Optometric Retinal Society (ORS) and is the immediate past president of ORS. Sherman is one of optometry’s most prolific authors and lecturers with over 750 publications and over 3,000 lectures both nationally and internationally. He has four books to his credit over the past five years and his Retina Revealed website has over 2,000 retinal images in hundreds of cases, with another hundred images added monthly.
