Latest News CooperVision Promotes Seshadri to Vice President, North America Marketing By Staff Wednesday, June 24, 2015 12:21 AM PLEASANTON, Calif.—CooperVision, Inc., a division of The Cooper Companies (NYSE:COO) announced that Simon Seshadri has been appointed vice president, North America marketing. In this role, Seshadri will be responsible for overseeing regional marketing strategies, including the development of product launches, ongoing programs, promotions and demand creation initiatives.Seshadri joined CooperVision in 2014 as senior director, global brand marketing, for which he had global responsibility for the Biofinity and Avaira contact lens brands. Earlier this year, he took on additional responsibilities as the interim vice president, North America\marketing.“In his relatively brief time at CooperVision, Simon has already demonstrated a substantial impact on the organization in both his global and North America roles,” said Jerry Warner, president, North America, CooperVision. “Considering his more than 15 years of experience in health care marketing leadership roles, I’m confident that Simon will continue to drive successful marketing initiatives for our broad portfolio of contact lenses. His insights, initiative and ability to keep a finger on the pulse of the industry should generate success not only for CooperVision, but also deepen our partnerships with and growth of our customers’ practices.”Prior to joining CooperVision, Seshadri served in a variety of national, regional and global marketing leadership roles with GE Healthcare, Bausch + Lomb, Philips Oral Healthcare, and Boots Healthcare. His previous responsibilities have included the management of brand, professional, trade, and digital marketing teams in Japan, the United Kingdom, and the U.S.Seshadri holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a concentration in marketing from the University of British Columbia, and earned his master of business administration from the London Business School.
