Latest News Delta Dental of Tennessee Teams With VSP Vision Care to Launch DeltaVision in Tennessee By Staff Wednesday, May 15, 2019 12:18 AM NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Delta Dental of Tennessee announced this week that it is launching its first full vision insurance plan, DeltaVision, which will be administered by VSP Vision Care, a leading managed vision care company. Through the affiliation with VSP, Delta Dental of Tennessee will offer the DeltaVision plans to Tennessee-based companies and residents of the state, a spokeswoman told VMAIL. Delta Dental of Tennessee is one of 39 independent Delta Dental organizations operating across the U.S. and Puerto Rico and which make up the Delta Dental Plans Association. Delta Dental organizations operating in other states may have vision care partnerships and programs administered by other managed vision care plans. “Our clients and subscribers realize the importance of benefit coverage to help control expenses and minimize out-of-pocket costs,” Delta Dental of Tennessee president and chief executive Phil Wenk, DDS, said in the announcement. “Combining a vision plan along with our dental plan helps both individuals and group plan administrators with a single contract and a single invoice.”According to the Delta Dental of Tennessee website, the new vision plan covers an “annual comprehensive eye exam, discounts, and allowances for glasses, contact lenses, and more.” DeltaVision plans are now available for individuals and families purchasing benefit plans on their own, the announcement noted.
