CINCINNATI—Ronald Cooke, Jr. will be joining Diversified Ophthalmics, Inc., and the ECP Network, as executive vice president, according to Dr. Ronald F. Cooke, chairman of the board and CEO of Diversified Ophthalmics, Inc.

Dr. Cooke said, “In his new position, Ronald will be primarily responsible for the future activities and success of the ECP Network and the ophthalmic labs. He is rejoining the company after an absence of more than three years. His previous experience with our company, and his excellent reputation in the ophthalmic industry, will be great assets as he assumes his new role.”

Ronald Cooke, Jr. completed three successful years as director of sales for Buhler Leybold Optics before returning to Diversified. Prior to accepting a position with Buhler Leybold Optics, he had held the position of chief operating officer with Diversified, and had worked with the company in various capacities for 22 years.

In other moves, Teri Gossard, OD, was named executive director of the ECP Network. Dr. Cooke said, “Dr. Gossard has had a remarkable optometric career in both clinical practice as well as in the political/professional sphere of optometry. She is a past president of the Ohio Optometric Association, and she is well known for her activities in support of the optometric profession.”

A graduate of The Ohio State University’s College of Optometry, she has practiced medical optometry extensively in the Cincinnati area. She will be responsible for maintaining a strong provider network that best serves the need of the eyecare providers and their patients.

Gossard will also be active in developing and continuing relations with the community of ophthalmic vendors including the network’s parent company, Diversified Ophthalmics, the company said.
