NEW YORK—Today’s Vision Monday Global Leadership Summit virtual session, Stepping Up the Patient Experience, will examine how digital technologies are bringing doctors, patients and consumers into the healthcare process in exciting new ways. An eclectic mix of speakers drawn from the technology, retail and vision care fields will discuss how new tactics and technologies are transforming patient engagement by blending physical experiences with online, virtual ones. This last session of the four-part series of "AFTERSHOCKS: Remaking Healthcare's Future, Vision Beyond 2020," the VM Global Leadership Summit's major theme will be broadcast today from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m EST.

The opening speaker, Robin Raskin, founder of Living in Digital Times and Solving for Tech is a noted expert in digital health trends. She’ll explain how the growth of telehealth, digital therapeutics and remote diagnostics is being accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Raskin will reveal how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, nanotechnology and 5G networks are enabling healthcare providers to gain deeper insights into a patient’s health and aiding in the development of new treatment methods.
