NASHVILLE, Tenn.—The Energeyes Association of corporate-affiliated optometrists has partnered with CovalentCareers.com, an online job-matching startup for eyecare professionals.

CovalentCareers was founded in early 2014 by an entrepreneurial team of health care professionals and developers, including Matt Geller, OD; Ryan Corte, OD; Brett Kestenbaum, DPT; and Josh Geller. The startup earned a $2.2 million valuation after receiving a seed round of private equity funding in the fourth quarter of 2014, according to a statement released by Energeyes.

“We are really excited to have a rapidly growing group with a culture of innovation such as Energeyes be an early adopter of CovalentCareers,” said Matt Geller, Covalent Careers CEO. “We have observed this group take on new challenges, and we believe Covalent is a great fit to support their hiring needs today and in the future.”

The Energeyes Association is introducing the CovalentCareers.com service to members during a month-long enrollment period throughout June, and the partnership will continue indefinitely after, an Energeyes spokesperson told VMail. “We were involved in the product development process, and because of our involvement we have special pricing,” the spokesperson added.
