NEW YORK—Forbes released its annual Top Global Innovators List, ranking three optical companies among their top 100 innovative companies.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals took the 31 spot, Essilor ranked 62 and Luxottica came in at 65 on the list. In order to be considered, companies had to reach $10 billion market capitalization and have at least 2.5 percent of revenue spent on R&D.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Essilor has been listed.
