SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla.—Eye Q Eyewear has announced that it has entered into a multi-year licensing agreement for the creation and distribution of the Dickies eyewear collection, the brand’s first-ever ophthalmic eyewear. The collection will feature optical frames, ophthalmic sun and readers and will launch at Vision Expo West 2018. Dickies, the leading performance workwear brand, recently introduced its Flex line of workwear, featuring innovative stretch technology while still maintaining the quality, comfort and durability that the brand is known for.

The eyewear collection that Eye Q has developed corresponds to the Flex line of eyewear with this initial launch including two unique collections.

180 Degree Hinge features a comfortable yet hardworking assortment of nine different styles, all built with durable 180 degree spring hinges geared toward men and intended for their everyday wear. The collection will be available in a varying array of sizes and colors in both metal and acetate.

The Flex Memory Metal collection, set to release by year-end, will feature five styles with tubeless, memory metal construction at the temple and bridges for comfort and durability.

“When we first began exploring the Dickies brand last year, it became clear very quickly that our common goal was to create functional, quality products at an affordable price,” said Jeff Frumkin, CEO of Eye Q Eyewear. “Our Dickies Flex collection is a great evolution of the Dickies story, built with all the durable characteristics expected from both Eye Q and Dickies.”

Mark Hrubant, director of licensing for Dickies added, “Eye Q Eyewear has captured key attributes of the Dickies brand in the new Dickies eyewear collection. We believe the Collection will receive a strong response from the millions of hardworking consumers wearing Dickies apparel.”
