eyebobs' retail lab in Minneapolis.

MINNEAPOLIS—eyebobs has announced its plan to open its second and third retail optical stores in 2018, one in Minnesota and the other in Florida, following up on the fall 2017 debut of the company’s first retail lab in Minneapolis. The main goal of this retail expansion is to increase brand awareness in order to drive traffic to specialty channels including luxury optical stores and specialty stores that currently carry the collection, the company said. “We’re excited to offer the full ‘eyebobs experience’ firsthand,” said eyebobs CEO Mike Hollenstein. “Raising brand awareness through brick-and-mortar outlets will engage both current and new fans.

By increasing eyebobs’ visibility and creating demand for the brand, we’re able to drive traffic to our retail partners, including fine optical and specialty stores that carry the collection.”

The second retail location is set to open this summer at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. while the third location is slated to open in early fall at the Florida Mall in Orlando, Fla.

Like the original eyebobs lab, the new stores will showcase the company’s full range of optical frames including reading glasses, sunreaders, All Day Readers, All Day Sunreaders, blue light eyeglasses, sunglasses and prescription frames along with a curated selection of eyewear accessories.

Additionally, certified opticians will be on hand to assist customers with choosing frames. eyebobs will also provide eye exams through 20/20NOW telemedicine services.
