RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.—Eyefinity, the practice management software division of VSP Global, has named Masoud Nafey, OD as vice president of professional relations.

In his new role, Dr. Nafey will help colleagues with efficiency and office patient flow while using EHR and practice management software, the company said. As a practicing optometrist, he will enhance product development through peer-to-peer interactions and communications.

Dr. Nafey also serves as the national director of professional services for VSP Onsite Clinics with a focus on training newly hired doctors, staff and opticians nationwide in all aspects of practice management software. In this role, he established the WellTech exam experience, which Eyefinity describes as “an efficient and digital approach to the eye exam experience.”

Dr. Nafey has worked as a consultant doctor for VSP’s OnSite Clinics since 2014. Prior to that, he worked in private practice at various locations in California, including his own Vision+ Family Optometry. He also worked for a year as a managing optometrist for Eyexam of California. Dr. Nafey has written numerous manuals and blogs regarding efficient patient care from optometrists and their office staff without compromising exam quality and overall patient experience.
