NEW YORK—Fresh perspectives on wearable technology, Big Data's role in health care decision making and the insights from the CEO of a major eyewear industry leader are among the new elements that have been added to the final program of the 8th Annual Vision Monday Global Leadership Summit, to be held here on Wednesday March 26.

A special Summit session will be A Conversation: Andrea Guerra, CEO of Luxottica Group. Guerra will take part in an exclusive one-to-one interview with VM's Marge Axelrad, SVP/editorial director, and share views on such topics as leadership, executing change and the outlook for digital technology, 'premiumization''and today's consumer.

Discussing the implications of Big Data on executive decision-making and the rise of "cognitive data" will be Charlie Schick, PhD, Director, IBM Watson Foundations, Healthcare and Life Sciences who will talk about trends impacting health care as well as retailing.

In a session about Omnichannel trends, Roy Hessel, president of Essilor's Online Initiatives, will join Carlo Privitera, president of Luxottica's Digital and E-commerce Innovation Lab and Glasses.com, along with other guests, in an outlook about reaching consumers in-store and online with new digital technologies.

Also discussing bringing innovation into executive decision making will be Sarah Thurber, managing partner, FourSightOnline.com, a company specializing in helping companies embrace creativity and new ideas within their own organizations and teams.

Futurist Michell Zappa will examine the technological status quo in our connected world. In a talk that promises to be both provocative and informative, Zappa will sketch science-fiction-like, future scenarios involving Wearables, Big Data and the Internet of Things.

A session on the rapidly emerging field of Wearables is a featured part of the daylong Vision Monday Global Leadership Summit 2014 program. A member of the Google Glass team will provide an exclusive briefing to VM Global Leadership Summit attendees about the latest developments of this exciting new wearable technology. A special panel moderated by VM lens and technology editor Andrew Karp, will feature four rising stars in the Wearables world—Edward Tang, CEO and co-founder of Avegant; Corey Mack, CEO and head of design for Laforge Optical; Sina Fateh, MD, executive vice president of Atheer Labs; and Tim Moore, director of digital vision at Rochester Optical.

As reported, the VM Summit will examine the influence of today's Millennials, a consumer group and attitude that is changing the competitive landscape. Steve Hartman, managing director of Urban Outfitters Direct and Marketing will address how URBN's retail brands—Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain and BHLDN—are creating unique selling environments for this target audience. Jeff Fromm, co-author of "Marketing to Millennials: Reach The Largest & Most Influential Generation of Consumers Ever" and an executive vice president at the ad agency, Barkley, will also share insights from his popular blog.
