ALEXANDRIA, Va.— FUBU founders Daymond John, Keith Perrin, J. Alexander Martin and Carl Brown will launch their new FUBU Legends Eyewear line and take part in a panel discussion, meet-and-greet and fashion show at Vision Expo East, according to an announcement from show organizers. As part of Vision Expo’s inaugural EYE2EYE series, the FUBU founders will participate in a panel discussion titled, FUBU: The Past, Present and Future of US, highlighting their new eyewear launch and the rise and success of their brand. The panel will be held in the BRIDGE on Friday, March 22, beginning at 1 p.m.

FUBU will debut their FUBU Legends Eyewear line at the Eye Candy Creations USA booth in the BLOCK (Booth #B481). Additionally, the FUBU founders will be available for a meet-and-greet opportunity on Friday, March 22, at 2 p.m. in the Eye Candy Creations booth, followed by the FUBU Legends Eyewear fashion show in the BLOCK at 3:30 p.m.

“The success FUBU has reached over the years is inspiring to everyone in the fashion industry,” said Mitch Barkley, vice president of trade shows and meetings at The Vision Council. “Vision Expo is looking forward to the knowledge and business expertise each of the founders will bring to Show attendees who are looking to grow their business or find inspiration.”

FUBU is considered one of the most successful sportswear companies with the creators’ marketing innovations regarded as staples to the industry. The earliest FUBU collection consisted of a small line of tops and hats before it expanded into 5,000 stores producing over $6 billion in retail sales.

Daymond John, CEO and president of FUBU, oversees the organization’s production flow to ensure every aspect of FUBU’s structure is consistently upheld. John is a “Shark” on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” a New York Times best-selling author, branding guru and motivational speaker. Additionally, John was appointed as the Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship by former President Barack Obama.

Carl Brown is FUBU’s co-founder and vice president of brand management, business development and licensing, and participated in the launch of FB Entertainment/FUBU Records in 2001. Brown is a founding partner and CEO of hotelFUBU LLC., a boutique hospitality brand innovation.

Keith Perrin, another FUBU co–founder, played a pivotal role in placing FUBU in dozens of music videos, photo shoots, concerts, movies and television shows as FUBU’s vice president of brand marketing and online distribution. Perrin has worked with well-known fashion brands including Ted Baker, Coogi, Kappa and more. In 2015, Perrin launched Fubu Radio, a station dedicated celebrating the best in urban life, culture and community.

J. Alexander Martin is a co-founder and serves as executive vice president and chief creative director at FUBU as well as the CEO of Fubu Television Network, a lifestyle and multicultural network that holds cable and broadcast agreements with Dish Network, Verizon and Frontier. Martin is also the host of “Behind the Money” on IMPACCT.

FUBU Legends Eyewear will join fellow Eye Candy Creations USA’s celebrity driven brands including Cynthia Bailey Eyewear of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Fritz Eyewear by Gospel Singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard and De Louise Lorraine Fine Frames and Hardware, a luxury optical collection.

Other fashion shows heading to the BLOCK include De Louise Lorraine Fine Frames on Saturday, March 23 from 11:00 -11:30 a.m. and an additional fashion show featuring celebrity brands Cynthia Bailey Eyewear and Fritz Eyewear by Tasha Cobbs Leonard on Saturday, March 23 from 1:00 -1:30 p.m.
