FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J.—Jim Astrachan, an attorney who specializes in intellectual property usage, is the guest on the July 24 edition of “The Power Hour.” His appearance was rescheduled from two weeks ago. The weekly online radio talk show is hosted by Gary Gerber, OD, founder of The Power Practice, a practice management company.

Stated Gerber, “Intellectual property questions are very relevant for businesses today. For example, that picture on a doctor’s website which was found on Google might be something being used illegally and potentially could wind up costing a small fortune in fines. Also, if a practice plays music in the office or waiting room, are they doing so legally? These and other relevant topics should make for a great discussion with plenty of time for questions.”

“The Power Hour” radio shows are sponsored by Essilor of America. The show, which can be heard via Skype or phone every Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. E.T., is a live discussion vehicle for current practice-building events in optometry, political viewpoints and clinical topics. Listeners can dial in to “The Power Hour” from any phone at (646) 716-8746 or can listen in from any computer. Details on how to do so are found here. “Power Hour” sessions, which launched in 2012, are archived on The Power Practice site. Users can also click to listen to past shows or download segments on iTunes.
