SANTA MONICA, Calif.—Eyewear accessory brand La Loop has acquired Diane Taylor Designs, a collection of handmade eyeglass accessories incorporating elements such as leather, Swarovski crystals, Czech glass and semi-precious stones, as of March 2015.

The namesake founder and president of Diane Taylor Designs, Diane Taylor, passed away earlier this year. Taylor and her family wanted both her unique designs and her care for her clientele to live on, and so they will under the auspices of La Loop, the company said.

"I was deeply moved by Diane’s spirit and her passion," said Elizabeth Faraut, La Loop’s

Elizabeth Faraut.

owner and CEO. "She nurtured Diane Taylor Designs to become the international business it is today. With so much love for her creations around the world, I am proud that La Loop will be able to carry on her legacy. Her designs are the very best in traditional eyeglass leashes that attach at the temples, and allow La Loop to offer customers, both new and old, the top of the line in that category."

This acquisition comes after the buyout of Deborah DeCotis, Faraut’s longtime business partner at La Loop, from whom she purchased the outstanding shares at the end of 2014. In addition to being the CEO and creative director of La Loop, Elizabeth Faraut is now the sole owner of both businesses.
