NEW YORK—The Accessories Council announced that it will present its 2015 Hall of Fame honor to Ed Jankowski, vice president and general manager of luxury retail for Luxottica Retail North America, a division of Luxottica Group (NYSE:LUX). The luxury retail group includes the Ilori and Optical Shop of Aspen stores. The event will be held July 27 at LIM College here, with cocktails starting at 6:00 p.m., followed by the awards presentation.

The Council was established in 1994. Its mission is to stimulate consumer awareness and demand for fashion accessory products. Its announcement said, “Known inside and outside the industry for his strategic thinking and generous spirit, we’re pleased to honor Ed Jankowski, who will be saluted by his colleagues, friends and peers, with proceeds raised benefitting the OneSight foundation.

Since 2007, the award has been presented to a proven leader whose business activities significantly contribute to the $50.8 billion a year accessories market. Past recipients include: Elaine Gold of Elaine Gold Enterprises, Mary Belle of Jones Apparel Group, Marge Axelrad of Vision Monday, Dorothy Roberts of Echo Design Group, 20/20 Magazine, Robin Marino of Martha Stewart Living Omnipedia, Ruth Finley of Fashion Calendar, FIT Accessories Design and Jewelry Design departments, and Abbey Doneger of The Doneger Group.
