MELVILLE, N.Y.—Marchon Eyewear, Inc. has announced additional strategic restructuring within its organization to focus on future growth, the company said. Andy Skitmore has been appointed to senior vice president of the Americas, succeeding Steve Wright, who VMail previously reported has been promoted to president of omni-channel solutions, a newly formed line of business for VSP Global, on Jan. 27. Skitmore will report directly to Claudio Gottardi, president and CEO of Marchon Eyewear. In his new role as, Skitmore will continue setting the strategic sales direction for Marchon and will further develop the eyewear business. He previously served as senior vice president of sports brands for Marchon since 2009. Dan Leonardi has been promoted to vice president of sports brands, succeeding Skitmore. He reports directly to Thomas Burkhardt, the newly appointed senior vice president of global brand licensing and marketing which VMail reported on Feb. 1. Leonardi will lead the sports division and continue to implement strategic planning, including design, global marketing, sales and operations. Prior to his new role, Leonardi served as senior director global brand manager at Marchon. “Together with our parent company, VSP Global, we have further strengthened our foundation with an elevated team of accomplished executives that will continue to lead our organization forward as we focus on growth and profitability,” said Gottardi.
