MELVILLE, NY— Marchon Eyewear, Inc. has announced that Manlio Ciralli has been named the new vice president of international brands and EMEA marketing, based in Treviso, Italy, effective immediately.

"The EMEA region is a critical component to Marchon's global expansion,” said Claudio Gottardi, CEO of Marchon. “We are extremely committed to continue investing in our local resources and we feel that Manlio will be a great addition to the EMEA team."

Ciralli has over 10 years of experience in marketing, brand and sales. Prior to joining Marchon, he served as the worldwide marketing director of Officine Panerai, a division of the Richemont Group. Before Richemont, Ciralli worked for Luxottica Group as the head of EMEA sales for Oakley. During his tenure at Luxottica, Ciralli also served in a variety of roles including marketing manager emerging markets and brand manager of Ray-Ban. Ciralli holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from MIP Polytechnic of Milan.

Pierre Bessez, former executive vice president of European designer brands, duties that will now fall under Ciralli’s purview, will take on the new role of senior vice president of corporate initiatives and will support Manlio during a transition period through 2013, the company said.
