LONGARONE, Italy— Marcolin Group has announced the appointment of Davide Rettore as CEO North America of Marcolin USA Eyewear Corp.

In this role, Rettore will be responsible for the development of the business in the U.S. and Canada. According to the company, his experience and knowledge of the industry will bring the group additional expertise and value.

Giovanni Zoppas, CEO Marcolin Group said, “We all welcome back Davide to Marcolin Group: I know he will be a great value added to an already strong team.”

North America is a key market for Marcolin Group as it represents almost 45 percent of global sales, with a high potential to be further explored for both ophthalmic eyewear and sunwear, the company stated.

Rettore began his professional career at the Benetton Group in various roles before becoming brand manager in 2010. In 2011, he joined Marcolin Group as group brand manager. In 2014, Rettore took part in the start up of Kering Eyewear as global brand manager and later global brand director.
