WESTBURY, N.Y.— Match Eyewear has announced that Tim Fortier has been appointed vice president of sales for the Eastern U.S. and Canada. Fortier will report directly to Phil Turnage, president of sales.

“Tim and I have had a long friendship and working relationship for many years,” said Turnage. “He is one of the most talented leaders in the industry and we are very fortunate to have him on the Match team.”

Fortier joins Match Eyewear following 11 years with Viva International in the role of regional sales manager. Prior to that, Fortier was president of H.E.S., a supplier in the automotive industry. He will be responsible for Match’s optical channel sales efforts in the eastern U.S. and Canada and will join Scott Kaehler, vice president of sales for the Western U.S., in managing sales in North America.

“This is an exciting time for Match Eyewear,” added Ethan Goodman, president of Match. “We continue to grow, and building our management team with a plan for substantial growth with some of the industry’s top talent, like Tim, is an integral part. Phil has done a great job in setting the stage for the next level and with his team will afford us new opportunities on multiple fronts.”
