Claude E. Le Page

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—Claude E. Le Page, an optician, lab owner and longtime Essilor executive, passed away here on March 26, 2015 at age 72.

Le Page’s optical career spanned four decades. Born in St. Lo, France, he worked as optician from 1962 to 1968, the year he joined Essilor. Four years later, he transferred to Essilor Canada, where he remained until 1981. Le Page then served as president of Logo California, a frame company owned by Essilor, until 1986, when he rejoined Essilor in France. In 1992 he purchased Progressive Lens Lab in Largo, Fla., which he operated until his retirement in 2000.

Le Page is survived by his wife, Lucie Locas; children, Olivia (Yit Tisoni), Edouard (Anick Le Page), Severine (Frederic Bataille) and his grandchildren, Chloe, Marie Soleil, Maeva, Miro, Perrin, Laurier, Remi and Zachary. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N, St. Petersburg, Fla. Donations may be made in his name to Southeastern Guide Dogs.
