LONDON—Mondottica International and Scotch & Soda announce the licensing agreement for the design, production and distribution of the Scotch & Soda eyewear collections. The agreement for both men’s and women’s ophthalmic and sunwear collection will run through 2024. The first Scotch & Soda range by Mondottica will be available for spring/summer 2020 and will be distributed through opticians globally. Additionally, the sunglass collection will also be available through Scotch & Soda’s retail network and select global stockists.

Inspired by the brand’s irreverent approach to fashion, the eyewear ranges will follow suit, perfectly in sync with the collection developed by Scotch & Soda’s canal-side design studio, a mainline for men (Scotch), women (Maison), boys (Shrunk) and girls (R’Belle) as well as a denim collection, Amsterdam Blauw.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to work with such a truly distinctive fashion and lifestyle brand. Scotch & Soda has an eclectic and well considered approach to design which aligns closely with our way to developing unique eyewear collections,” said Michael Jardine, founder and CEO of Mondottica.

Scotch & Soda’s creative director, Marlou van Engelen added, “Being able to accessorize with Scotch & Soda eyewear has been a wish for a long time. We’re happy we were able to find a partner who is as dedicated to material research, custom colors and surprising details as we are. After a sneak peek of our first designs, I know they’re going to be a great complement or contrast to our looks.”

Scotch & Soda was founded in 1985 and is an Amsterdam-curated brand.
