PALM SPRINGS, Fla.—My Eyelab will offer a drive-through pick-up service for eyewear at a new store opening in League City, Texas, according to an announcement last week. The company said the drive-through service fits with its efforts to go “above and beyond to break the boundaries of the once-stagnant optical industry and deliver on their vision of easy eyecare.” The new store at 3170 Gulf Freeway South in League City will provide customers the option of picking up their eyewear purchases without getting out of their car, the company said. The company said this is a “first-of-its-kind service” for eyewear pick-up.

My Eyelab plans to launch an additional four drive-through locations throughout the state of Texas through the summer, the announcement noted.

My Eyelab is a division of Now Optics (formerly known as Vision Precision Holdings) and a sister company of Stanton Optical. The combined entities oversee a group of 140 corporate and franchise locations across the country, the announcement noted.

Customers will still be required to come into the store for their initial eye exam appointment. The drive-through option will be available to customers Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4:30 pm.

“We are continuously looking for new ways to build on and improve the overall guest experience as well as increase the enjoyment of buying eyewear, so we are really excited to introduce this innovative concept," Now Optics chief executive officer Daniel Stanton said in the announcement. Stanton also is a co-founder of Stanton Optical and My Eyelab.

In addition, My Eyelab said it expects to add new locations in Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, Odessa and San Antonio, Texas, in the near future.
