PALM SPRINGS, Fla.—My Eyelab is roaring into March with several new locations opening across the nation in just the first few days of the month, including at least three openings today (March 11), according to announcements late last week. The company also noted that its parent organization has changed its name from Vision Precision Holdings to the new name, Now Optics.  Now Optics, whose retail divisions include Stanton Optical and My Eyelab, has expanded quickly over the past few years and now has a combined 130 corporate and franchise locations under the two banners, including 23 stores in California, according to the company’s announcement.

Among the new-store openings, My Eyelab debuted today in Oakland, Calif., and this new store will be the company’s first franchised location in the state. The announcement noted that this store also marks its commitment to serve the San Francisco market and to continue its expansion in California.

Separately, My Eyelab expanded its footprint in Texas with the opening of two stores today in the Houston market. The stores are located in League City and Katy, Texas. “Our team is looking forward to becoming a part of Houston's vibrant community and bringing My Eyelab's unique and convenient services to its residents," Daniel Stanton, chief executive officer and founder of My Eyelab and Stanton Optical, said in the announcement.

The new Houston locations are the company’s 27th & 28th stores in Texas. My Eyelab said it expects to continue its Texas expansion in additional markets, including Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Odessa and San Antonio.

As VMAIL reported, My Eyelab announced in February that it plans aggressive expansion in Texas this year with roughly 28 new stores in the Dallas area and an additional 24 new stores around Houston. Earlier this month, My Eyelab opened its sixth store in the Atlanta market. The new store is in Buford, Ga., and Zain Attawala is the director of My Eyelab’s Atlanta marketing area.

Founded in 2013, My Eyelab is a fast-growing “teleconsulting and retail optical center,” with a goal to offer “easy eyecare and … fast, friendly and affordable eyecare services,” according to the company. My Eyelab has been franchising since 2016. The company said that with “the help of qualified franchisees who have the drive and skillset to help spread the company's vision for easy eyecare, [it] plans to strategically target nationwide developments through single and multi-unit agreements.”
