NEW YORK— MyEyeStore and Jobson ECP Business Services announced that they have signed an exclusive agreement, effective Feb. 1, where Jobson ECP Business Services will promote and market the e-commerce services of MyEyeStore to the ophthalmic community.

MyEyeStore (MES) builds the practice a unique web store that the practice’s patients and customers can access through the current practice website. Stephannie Keller, CEO of MyEyeStore, said, "The timing is perfect to be able to announce our partnership with Jobson. The independents need to jump into the e-commerce space and patients will soon be demanding it. We are proud and excited to be able to offer the market a best-in-class system and very excited to do it with Jobson and all their expertise."

MES, Keller noted, seamlessly matches the look and feel of the ECP’s current website and the web store is branded solely with the practice’s name and logo. Each web store has a unique “800” customer service number connected to the MyEyeStore call center. Calls are answered using the practice’s name by the MES customer service staff.

When an order is placed through the web store, MyEyeStore receives the order, places it with the appropriate vendor(s) and ships directly to the practice’s patients using the practice name and address. MyEyeStore has a robust e-mail communication system that keeps the practice and its patients up to date on orders and electronically verifies each contact lens prescription directly with the practice while also allowing patients to use their vision benefits from any plan, Keller added.

MES has several categories of products to help mirror the entire practice inventory. The practice may offer the entire portfolio, or can pick and choose the products and categories it would like to offer. Each online store can offer its own unique retail pricing which the practice determines. The MyEyeStore’s revenue model is flat fee based and does not share in the revenue from web store sales, which keeps full financial control with the practice.
