NASHVILLE, Tenn.—“Specialty Health: Creating Harmony in a Discordant Market” is the theme of the third joint summit meeting that the National Association of Vision Care Plans  (NAVCP) is holding in conjunction with the National Association of Specialty Health Organizations (NASHO). The 2014 Specialty Health Summit will be held at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel here, May 5 to 7, 2014.

In addition to NAVCP and NASHO board of directors meetings, the event will also feature seminars, business meetings, networking receptions and the NAVCP vision industry dinner for vision organizations and invited guests. During the summit, NASHO will name the winner of the Most Influential in Specialty Health Award, now in its fifth consecutive year.

Confirmed speakers include Kip Piper, president, Health Results Group, and Joel Ario, managing director of Manatt Health Solutions and former CCIIO director of the office of health insurance exchanges. As the keynote speaker headlining Tuesday’s agenda, Ario will deconstruct the Affordable Care Act’s launch and impact to date as well as evaluate its future prospects. Summit favorite, Piper, a top authority on health reform and Medicare/Medicaid, will analyze the financial implications (and missed opportunities) of the ACA.

Online registration has already opened, with early-bird discounts available before March 28.
