ST. LOUIS—Nominations for the 2017 National Optometry Hall of Fame are now being accepted online, according to an announcement by Optometry Cares—the AOA Foundation. The deadline for online submissions is Jan. 15, 2017.

Since 1998, the National Optometry Hall of Fame has recognized and honored those optometrists who have made significant and long-lasting contributions to the optometric profession. Originally created by the Ohio Optometric Association, the National Optometry Hall of Fame is currently administered by Optometry Cares — the AOA Foundation.

The 2017 Hall of Fame inductees will be honored June 21 to 25, 2017, at Optometry’s Meeting in Washington, D.C. Click here to see prior inductees.

All nominees should be prepared to provide further materials for consideration, including a curriculum vitae, a minimum of two letters of support and a photo.
