ALISO VIEJO, Calif.— NVision Eye Centers moved to new headquarters here from the Newport Beach, Calif., flagship location it previously occupied for the last 15 years. Along with the move, Tom Tooma, MD, NVision's medical director who founded the business in 2010, announced the promotion of James Pereyra to president.

Pereyra previously served as the company’s vice president of business development and strategic planning, and he was instrumental in the six acquisitions NVision made within the last 18 months, as reported by VMail. As president, Pereyra will continue to lead the firm’s strategic growth.

“James not only possesses a wealth of experience from both inside and outside the organization but also has great passion for our company and our people,” said Dr. Tooma, a lasik pioneer who has performed more than 100,000 procedures, including 250 lasik surgeries on eye doctors. “A larger headquarters coupled with strong new leadership renews our focus on providing the best possible patient experience and outcomes.”

NVision’s new 9,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and national support center includes a collaborative campus-style workspace for its 35 corporate employees. The company has more than 450 employees in 18 locations throughout California, Nevada and Oregon. While the corporate offices are moving from Newport Beach to Aliso Viejo, its lasik and cataract practice in Newport Beach will remain unchanged.
