LAKELAND, Tenn.—The Optician’s Association of America (OAA) has announced it will join Local Eye Site’s LES Power Network, effective Nov. 1, 2012. The LES Power Network is the leading online job site for the eyecare and eyewear industry.

Recruitment advertising that is placed with LES or through one of the 22 “Power Network” partners, will now appear on the OAA website Career Center. LES features online application posting and processing, the ability to search by state and by position and delivers massive exposure through the Power Network with over 100,000 monthly visitors.

“The new career center will simplify the job search process,” said Chris Allen, executive director of the OAA, “and better connect employers and employees with up-to-date employment opportunities. This new ‘one stop’ location to advertise optician jobs will be a great value to optical shops and eyecare practices across the country and at the same time provide our members with a simple, efficient and user friendly source whether looking for qualified employees or seeking new opportunities for themselves.”

Since its founding in 2007, LES has experienced tremendous growth. A partnership with Jobson Medical Information announced in the summer of 2010 greatly enhanced the scope of the LES Power Network. The addition of the OAA brings the total number of LES Power Network sites to 23.

“We are thrilled to be powering the job center for the OAA,” said Brad McCorkle, founder of LES. “This partnership will enhance our exposure within the professional community of opticians, which will mean even better recruiting results for LES customers recruiting opticians.”

OAA is the only national organization representing opticianry's business, professional, educational, legislative and regulatory interests. OAA’s mission is to promote and expand opticianry by being the single unified voice of America's Opticians.
