MINNEAPOLIS— Ogi Eyewear has announced that it has become an exclusive corporate partner of the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO), along with Nikon Optical Canada, Inc., in supporting the Eye See... Eye Learn program, an initiative launched in Ontario in 2009 by the OAO.

Ontario Doctors of Optometry
will provide a free pair of prescription glasses for each qualifying child in the program, with Ogi supplying the high-quality children’s frames and Nikon supplying the polycarbonate, scratch-resistant ophthalmic lenses.

Eye See... Eye Learn (ESEL) is a non-profit program designed to detect, diagnose and treat children with vision problems when they begin junior kindergarten, so that every child can see and learn the best to his or her ability. The ESEL program was developed to raise awareness among parents of the importance of identifying and treating vision problems early. The Ontario program is administered by the OAO and is funded in part by the Government of Ontario.
