NEW YORK – Optical speakers, leaders from various segments of the regional and national retail and eyecare professional sectors, will explain how they’re “Digitizing The Store,” at a special VM LIVE two-hour program, examining how new technologies are transforming the patient experience and doctor/retailer/patient dynamics.

The VM LIVE event will be held Wed., Sept. 17 just prior to the start of Vision Expo West. Registration is now open for the event, which will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a one-hour cocktail reception at The Venetian Hotel.

Featuring expert speakers from outside the industry as well, who will be announced soon, industry leaders will be discussing some of the technology tools they use and share their views about how technology is modernizing the eyewear retail environment. Among those optical industry speakers are: Richard Edlow, OD, president, Katzen Eye Group; Eric Anderson, president and general manager, LensCrafters; and Jonathan Rosin, MD, co-owner, Rosin Eyecare.

“New tactics and technology are reshaping the optical retail and patient experience,” said Marge Axelrad, SVP and editorial director of VM. “All retailers and ECPs are asking: does my operation’s brand experience meet the expectations of today’s omni-channel shoppers and discriminating patients? VM LIVE will illustrate some current approaches being used and update executive decisionmakers about this important change.”

Premier sponsors for “Digitizing The Store” include ABS-SmartMirror and Adlens.

Registration is now open and fee details are now available for the VM LIVE event. Seating will be limited.
