CHICAGO—Prevent Blindness announced that David P. LeCause, vice president, U.S. eyecare for Allergan, Inc. and Darryl Lemecha, executive vice president and chief technology officer of VSP Global have been elected to the Prevent Blindness board of directors.

LeCause brings more than 25 years of experience in the U.S. eyecare market to the Prevent Blindness board. Prior to leading Allergan’s U.S. eyecare commercial unit, he served as vice president of U.S. eyecare sales and as region director of U.S. therapeutics in the eyecare division of Allergan Inc.

He is a graduate of Gettysburg College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management with a concentration in accounting and finance. Since 2005, has served on the board of trustees for Helen Keller International.

Lemecha directs the delivery of solutions that optimize the processes across VSP Global lines of business with the goal of enhancing customer experience in his role as executive vice president and chief technology officer of VSP Global. Before his role at VSP Global, Lemecha served as COO of Eyefinity. He is also the cofounder of eightCloud, Inc., a technology consulting business.

Lemecha is a graduate of the University of Manitoba - Canada with a Bachelor of Science in computer science.
