CHICAGO—Prevent Blindness announced that Richard Sanchez, managing partner of Visibility Management has been named chair-elect of the Prevent Blindness board of directors. Additionally, Neil Levine, executive director, marketing ophthalmology at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Nancy Tuffin, head of health policy, government relations and U.S. reimbursement of Alcon Laboratories, Inc. have been elected to the board of directors.

Sanchez, who is an eyecare industry veteran, was the COO at Vision Twenty-One and president and CEO of Advantica. He founded Visibility Management, a consulting firm, in 2014 to address and assist in a variety of solutions to vision industry needs.

His involvement with Prevent Blindness includes being on the board of governors for Prevent Blindness Florida since 2004, the Prevent Blindness board of directors since 2009 and serves as the chair of the Prevent Blindness development committee. Sanchez will take over national board chair responsibilities after current board chair Paul Howes ends his term in late 2016.

Sanchez’s philanthropic activities include serving on the board of directors for the Tampa Bay CEO Council, board of directors for the National Association of Vision Care Plans, a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators All Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Children’s Home.


Neil Levine.
Levine is the executive director of marketing for ophthalmology at Regeneron. In his role, he is responsible for ophthalmology product marketing, overseeing all health care professional and patient engagement programs. Before joining Regeneron, Levine worked at Pfizer, Inc. serving in a range of roles within finance and marketing. Levine previously served on the Prevent Blindness board of directors from 2004-2006. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University.

Nancy Tuffin.


At Alcon, Tuffin has a variety of responsibilities as the head of health policy, government relations and U.S. Reimbursement including the monitoring of federal and state health care legislation, and to create and implement strategies to proactively shape policy and address proposed and current legislation. Also, she tracks current reimbursement trends on outpatient prescription drugs, physician administered drugs and medical devices. Tuffin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Douglass College of Rutgers University and serves on the board of Knight-Light charities in Lewisville, Texas.

In addition, board of directors vice chair of the Ohio affiliate of Prevent Blindness, Kathy Loken, senior vice president, commercial colleague readiness and capacity director at The Huntington National Bank, was appointed as the Prevent Blindness board of directors chief volunteer officer association president and liaison to the board of directors.
