NEW YORK—QSpex is launching a QSpex Optical Service Center in New York City, the company announced today. Beginning in Summer 2015, eyecare providers in the New York metropolitan area will have the opportunity to offer their patients QSpex’s premium product lineup and QSpex Concierge, a rapid delivery service.

The QSpex business model allows for same-day personalized delivery of a premium finished eyewear product by operating local QSpex Optical Service Centers in the same community as, and in close proximity to, eyecare providers.

“We are excited to offer New York City consumers something they have never experienced before—customized prescription eyewear, delivered same-day via QSpex Concierge, a personalized delivery and dispensing service direct to the consumers’ location of choice,” said Brett Craig, president and CEO. The high-speed, proprietary QSpex manufacturing process permits patient fulfillment in hours through a proprietary lens transfer system. QSpex also specializes in a back-end delivery service that offers “Fast-Traq” same-day fulfillment to eyecare providers via a QSpex-branded logistics fleet.

John Bonizio of Metro Optics Eyewear, an industry veteran experienced in the retail and wholesale aspects of the greater New York marketplace, helped develop the QSpex Service Center. It will be located in the Bronx, although not in one of Metro Optics’ four Bronx retail locations, according to QSpex. “This is a great and timely concept,” said Bonizio.

QSpex also operates QSpex Service Centers in Alpharetta, Ga., and Puerto Rico. The company plans to open additional centers in the U.S. and internationally.
