OCEANSIDE, Calif.—Raen Optics has announced that Jeff Fitzhugh has been appointed chief executive officer. According to Raen, the company has experienced “explosive growth in the highly competitive eyewear category” over the last three years and Fitzhugh will be a “key asset to support the team and steer the brand toward global recognition.”

“With the momentum that Raen has experienced we’re excited to add Jeff to our growing team,” said Justin Heit, creative director and co-founder of Raen. “His proven track record and experience in the industry makes us confident he will continue to take Raen to new heights.”

Fitzhugh has built his reputation by building talented teams and in turn growing sales and profits exponentially for industry leading brands, the company said. His career spans more than two decades and has held executive positions with Sanuk, DC Shoes, Oakley and Converse.

“I was lucky enough to be introduced to Raen at their very first trade show back in 2009,” added Fitzhugh. “I immediately became a huge fan of the brand and have been wearing Raen products throughout the years. I am super excited to be working with such a talented group of people.”
