Nancy Richardson, CMO.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia—Following its recent rebranding, online eyewear retailer, Clearly has appointed Nancy Richardson as chief marketing officer. She was formerly vice president of digital and brand strategy at lululemon athletica.

Specializing in building global brands and using multi-channel strategies to create industry-leading companies, Richardson was responsible for developing, integrating and executing digital and long-term brand marketing strategies that supported lululemon athletica’s growth from a $300 million company to a $1.7 billion dollar company.

“We are firm believers that in order for any company to achieve great success, a strong leadership team must be in place,” said Roy Hessel, CEO of Clearly. “In the midst of expanding our product offering, evolving our customer experience and having just undergone a rebrand, we’re grateful to have Nancy’s knowledge and relevant experience in our corner.”

Richardson said, “When I realized this position meant being part of a team dedicated to making vision care accessible to the world, I knew it was a fit. I’m excited to lead this team into making the most meaningful brand in the world.”

Founded in 2000, Clearly (formerly known as Coastal.com) was purchased by Essilor in April 2014.
