PARADISE, Calif.—Wholesale lab J&J Optical has set up a relief fund to aid employees who were evacuated last month during the Camp Fire in Paradise, Calif., where the lab is located. In a post on the lab’s GoFundMe.com page, J&J Optical’s president Jerry Haigh wrote, “Everyone lost their homes and to escape safely, literally left with only the clothes they were wearing. All evacuated safely and have reunited with family and friends. Some of our employees were renters and renters’ insurance does not cover additional living expenses while displaced. Many are with small children who have lost everything. Anything that could help them put their lives in order would be gratefully appreciated.”
