NEW YORK—Review of Myopia Management, the first multi-platform digital asset dedicated to myopia management, is being launched in March 2019 by the Jobson Optical Group. The mission of Review of Myopia Management is to deliver excellence in education to empower eyecare professionals to provide state-of-the-art myopia management care. It will accomplish this via a website that is refreshed with new content every month and a series of clinical resources, business tools, podcasts and videos, the company said.

“The need for providing this educational resource is well established, and interest in the subject is growing exponentially,” said Al Greco, publisher of Review of Myopia Management. “Review of Myopia Management will be recognized as the leading source of clinical, practice management, and research information on myopia management for eyecare professionals.”

The prevalence of myopia is rising rapidly, and the age of onset is lowering. High myopia has become an alarming public health issue. Researchers from the U.S. National Eye Institute have documented that myopia prevalence in the U.S. rose from about 25 percent in the early 1970s to nearly 42 percent around the turn of the millennium, an alarming 68 percent increase. Recently published research confirms that progressive myopia can be effectively managed with a variety of clinical tools currently available.

Jobson Optical Group also publishes Review of Optometry, Review of Ophthalmology, Review of Optometric Business, Women In Optometry, 20/20, Vision Monday, and VMAIL.
