Review of Optometric Business to Present Webinar Series on Profiting With Vision Care Plans


NEW YORK—The Review of Optometric Business (ROB) will be presenting a two-part proficiency webinar and workshop series on how to profit with vision care plans on Dec. 12, 2013 and Dec. 19, 2013. The series will feature presentations from Jay Binkowitz, president of Gateway Provider Network (GPN), a business management company which markets The Edge, an optometric practice analysis and management tool. Each session will take place at 12:30 p.m. E.T.

Through the two-part series, which is separated into the categories of VSP & Their New Premier Program and The New EyeMed Plans, optometrists and optical business owners can learn about navigating the managed vision care landscape and reducing patient pushback to increase profitability in their practices.

In his presentations, Binkowitz will give tips on getting to know the vision plans, gaining proficiency in applying them, combining products and pricing to simplify the managed care process and implementing successful frame markup. “Vision plans can be profitable—with the right strategies,” said Binkowitz.
