PADUA, Italy and PARIS—Safilo Group and Christian Dior Couture announced the renewal of their licensing agreement for the design, manufacturing and worldwide distribution of the Dior and Dior Homme collection of optical frames and sunglasses until Dec. 31, 2020.

Sidney Toledano, president and CEO of Christian Dior Couture added, “Dior is glad to continue its relationship with Safilo, developing and marketing Dior eyewear products that reflect the values of our brand. Dior eyewear is the leading player in terms of design and quality, offering our clients products of excellence.”

Separately, Safilo Group announced that the licensing agreement for the design, manufacturing and worldwide distribution of Celine collection of optical and sun frames will run to closure on Dec. 31, 2017.

Celine Eyewear joined the Safilo brand portfolio in 2012 and represents today just about 3 percent of Safilo’s worldwide sales concentrated mainly in Europe and North America, the company said.
