FRONHAUSEN, Germany—Schneider Optical Machines announced that it will host DigiCon 2015, a technical conference for optical laboratory executives, at its corporate headquarters here from June 17 to 20.

“We’ve seen tremendous technology changes since the last Digicon-Europe in 2013, so we want to update the market about our most recent innovations,” said Kurt Atchison, president of Schneider North America. “Attendees will get a close-up look at the latest Schneider technologies, such as our integrated and automated high production Modulo line and our small, economically-priced Nano line, and learn about new trends in ophthalmic surfacing, finishing, cleaning and coating.”

Digicon will also feature Schneider’s intelligent control center, which lets labs monitor all machines and processes together with the whole production flow. A unique loop arrangement that enables plug-and-play connectivity for the addition of new modules, including a detailed showcase of real-world examples, will be demonstrated.

In addition to the live demonstrations, DigiCon attendees will meet owners and managers from Schneider-equipped labs from around the world who will share first-hand field experiences. Schneider is also planning social activities for attendees, including a tour of Frankfurt.
