ATLANTA—SECO International, recognized as the largest optometric education meeting in the world, will return to the Georgia World Congress Center for its 94th Annual Congress, scheduled for March 1 to 5, 2017. Registration opens Nov. 1.

Hundreds of hours of education sessions will cover scientific and clinical advancements, key practice management issues and hands-on learning. More than 250 companies regularly display the newest products and services in the 70,000-square-foot exhibit hall.

“We’re excited to return to Atlanta next spring for what promises to be our most comprehensive meeting to date,” Dr. Stan Dickerson, OD, SECO’s immediate past president, said in a statement.

SECO International earlier this year received the Orion Award from the Armed Forces Optometric Society (AFOS). The award recognizes an individual or organization for significant contributions to the advancement of AFOS and the profession of optometry.

In recent years, SECO International has co-located with the AFOS annual meeting, which allows AFOS members the opportunity to attend SECO and take advantage of additional education sessions and other conference events.
