SAN ANTONIO—The Boeing Company has selected Davis Vision to provide vision insurance benefits for its eligible employees, retirees and their dependents, effective Jan. 1, 2016. Routine insurance benefits covered will include eye examinations by a provider, spectacle and contact lenses, frames, contact lens evaluations, fittings and follow-up care. Davis Vision, with over 21 million members, is a division of HVHC Inc., a part of the Diversified Businesses unit of Highmark Health. Davis Vision members have access to a nationwide provider network of optometrists, ophthalmologists and dispensing locations at more than 48,000 points of access across the U.S. In-network providers nationwide include retail locations such as Visionworks (also a division of HVHC), Costco and Walmart. It features virtual try-on technology, educational wellness videos, social media connectivity and trends in fashion eyewear and eyecare. The website provides members around-the-clock access to check on providers, nominate a provider, visit the eyecare video library and look for frames. Members who don’t find their providers on the Davis Vision Boeing website may recommend them by selecting “To Locate or Nominate a Boeing Provider,” linking to the “Find a Provider” tool and submitting a “New Provider Nomination.”
