TSYS and Eye Care Leaders Partner on Payment Processing

COLUMBUS, Ga.—Over 8,000 ophthalmologists and optometrists will now have access to integrated payment solutions through a new partnership between TSYS, a Columbus, Ga.-based global payments provider and Eye Care Leaders (ECL) of Charlotte, N.C., a provider of performance solutions for eyecare practices. The partnership will enable ECL’s network of optometry and ophthalmology clients across the U.S. to utilize the benefits of TSYS’ secure processing solutions and services, according to a joint statement issued by the two companies.

By signing up for integrated payment processing with TSYS, eye care providers will be empowered to maximize their existing ECL software and securely store cards-on-file, set up recurring payment plans, process all major credit and signature debit cards, as well as ACH and FSA/HSA transactions. By giving practices more convenient payment options for their patients, ECL and TSYS will help practices increase their revenue stream at the point of care. Practices will also have access to TSYS’ U.S.-based customer support.

“We’re excited to work with an industry pioneer like Eye Care Leaders, so that together we can help providers simplify the patient payment experience and improve operational efficiency,” said Matt McCammon, general manager of TSYS’ health division. “With higher deductibles and patient out-of-pocket expenses on the rise, it’s more important than ever for eyecare practices to leverage the power of integrated payment processing to collect more patient payments and improve cash flow.”

Brent Michael, ECL’s chief commercial officer, commented, “We’re proud to partner with an industry leader like TSYS. Their dedicated business team is experienced with the healthcare market and can offer unparalleled support for our users,” said. “Plus, TSYS’ technology seamlessly integrates with ECL’s solutions, enabling our provider clients to securely and reliably accept payments, while avoiding processing errors. We look forward to delivering a new integrated solution that allows doctors to focus on what’s really important to them—providing quality care to their patients.”
