NEW YORK—The topic of sustainability will top the agenda at The Optical Industry Forum (OIF) upcoming meeting here on March 19. Guest speaker Paulette Frank, Johnson & Johnson’s vice president of sustainability and environmental Health & Safety, will address it in her keynote presentation at the meeting, which is sponsored by the Vision Council. Frank will discuss her corporation’s journey to advance sustainability across J&J’s multitude of brands and facilities around the world. In her role, she provides thought leadership and strategic direction to advance the organization’s sustainability mission across the breadth of its brands and product portfolio. She represents the company in external forums, partnerships and engagement efforts, providing a voice for the company’s values and commitment to help create a healthy future for people, our communities, and the planet.

Frank has been working in the fields of environmental stewardship, employee health and safety and sustainability for over 22 years. In 1997, she joined the Johnson & Johnson family of companies where she has served in a number of roles within the areas of environment, health & safety, sustainability and operations.

“The scope of the OIF encompasses the review and discussion of issues of interest or concern anywhere in our industry,” said Luxottica’s Nick Mileti, who serves as chairman of the OIF. “It’s a place where communication of issues is encouraged and actions identified for the Vision Council and/or other interested parties,” he noted.

The Optical Industry Forum will take place at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City from 8:00 am to noon on March 19. The meeting is open to all members of the optical industry. Click here to register for the meeting.
