AUSTIN, Texas—VisionWeb announced that for the fifth year the Opticians Association of America (OAA) along with affiliated state associations will receive a royalty payment of $7,398 earned for their members placing eyecare product orders through VisionWeb over the past 12 months. This is a 4.4 percent increase from last year’s payment.

Once a practice is enrolled in the royalty program, they must hit an order volume at which point they are then qualified to earn royalties on the transaction fee paid to VisionWeb by the connected suppliers receiving orders. Over the April to March reporting period, 522 accounts from 22 enrolled affiliated state associations submitted their eyecare products through VisionWeb.

“Our partnership with the Opticians Association of America has been a great way to recognize and reward opticians in the industry for adopting technology that strives to bring efficiency to eyecare practices and the optical industry as a whole,” Chris Rice, director of sales for VisionWeb said. “We are excited and looking forward to another strong year of partnership with the OAA.”

Additionally, VisionWeb selected the Opticians Association of Illinois as the VisionWeb OAA State Association of the Year for having a 33 percent increase in qualifying accounts and a 10 percent increase in royalties earned over the past year. The Opticians Association of Illinois will be presented with a check for $1,500.
