The program, which is based on VM’s Modern Lab editorial series, is designed to offer lab leaders important insights into the technical advances that are shaping today’s optical lab industry, and show how some innovative labs are stepping up to the challenge. The event is also a celebration and networking opportunity for labs executives attending Vision Expo West.Leading off the program, Andrew Karp, Jobson’s lens and technology editor, will share the results of an exclusive new lab survey conducted by Jobson Research and The Vision Council’s Lab Division. The survey reveals how optical lab executives see the strengths and weaknesses of their labs, as well as the opportunities and threats they are facing.Karp will then moderate a panel discussion with four veteran lab executives who will explain how their companies have successfully automated manufacturing processes, implemented new production methods and data systems and trained employees in the latest technologies.
