MILAN—Luxottica Group (NYSE: LUX) will be bringing on a new chief marketing officer (CMO) on Aug. 1, Stefano Volpetti, VMail has learned.

Volpetti is a 19-year veteran of Procter & Gamble, where he most recently served as general manager and vice president of the beauty division. In his new role, he will report to Adil Khan, CEO, markets, Luxotttica Group.

Volpetti succeeds Fabio D’Angelantonio, who has left the company. D’Angelantonio had been the CMO of Luxottica Group SpA since 2005 and served as president of its retail luxury and sun business since 2009.
