RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.— VSP Optics Group has opened a new VSPOne Optical Technology Center in Baltimore, Md. The new location will enable faster local service for the region’s dense population of federal employees and annuitants who have vision benefits through VSP Vision Care, according to VSP Optics Group.

“Federal employees who chose the VSP ‘High Option’ for their vision benefit receive the added benefit of a fully covered Unity anti-glare treatment on their Unity performance lenses,” said Don Oakley, president of VSP Optics Group. “We are investing in our members and doctors through this new high-tech facility to continue delivering the high-quality products and services they expect, and deserve, from VSP.”

VSPOne Baltimore was also created to address an increase in regional demand for Unity Performance Optics lens products, VSP Optics said. The new facility, which began processing lens orders in early February, will provide local eye doctors with increased access to the full portfolio of Unity lenses and coatings as well as other core ophthalmic products.

The Baltimore facility expands the VSPOne Optical Technology Center network to a total of 10 locations, including Columbus, Ohio, Dallas, Texas, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Honolulu, Hawaii, Olympia, Wash., Sacramento, Calif., St. Cloud, Minn., San Diego, Calif. and Tampa Bay, Fla.
