NEW YORK—A new app called EyeMusic, developed in a research project headed by Amir Amedi at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, may help the blind and visually impaired to “see” through music.

The app uses a camera interface as a sensory substitution device to convert images into soundscapes or audio information through which vision-impaired users can interpret objects and colors. Watch the app in action at the EyeMusic Live Demo at AIPAC now posted in VM's Multimedia section on VisionMonday.com.
