Zoom Eyeworks Appoints Cameau Senior Director of Logistics and Operations

BERKELEY, Calif.— Zoom Eyeworks Inc., makers of reading glasses, sunglasses and specialty eyewear, has announced that Harry Cameau has joined the company as senior director of logistics and operations, reporting directly to CEO, Rob Robillard.

“Harry brings a wealth of knowledge that will take our distribution capabilities to the next level, and we couldn’t be happier to have him on the Zoom Eyeworks team,” said Robillard. “2012 will mark a year of investment in technology and infrastructure and we’re fully confident in Harry’s ability to build our capabilities while continuing to provide our accounts with world-class service.”

Cameau will oversee Zoom Eyeworks’ 50,000 square foot distribution center in Hollister, Calif., and will be responsible for all aspects of distribution and logistics. The Zoom Eyeworks distribution center currently services Zoom’s national retail clients, including Walmart, Office Depot, Rite Aid, Whole Foods and Bass Pro Shops. In addition, it provides service to Zoom’s regional food & drug business and nearly 10,000 independent customers. The facility also supports the company’s growing e-commerce business.

Cameau brings over 20 years of experience in supply chain operations within the CPG/retail industries. Most recently, he spent more than six years overseeing the Oakley distribution center in Southern California where he helped define distribution strategy and applied lean practices to improve the operation, according to Zoom. Prior to Oakley, Cameau has worked for other consumer lifestyle brands, including Nike, O’Neil and Ariat International, working with both domestic and international supply chains.
